What we hold, why, and who else sees it. Last updated 22 August 2026.

What we don't do

No analytics. No tracking pixels. No advertising, and no selling or sharing of anything here for marketing by anyone. There is no third-party script on any page of this site.

Guests never make an account. Replying to an invitation asks for a name and, optionally, an email — nothing else, and no password ever.

One cookie, for hosts who sign in, so the browser stays signed in. It does nothing else and nobody else reads it. Guests get no cookie at all.

If you make an invitation

If you reply to an invitation

The host of that event can see this. That is the entire point of replying.

If you add photographs to an album

Photographs may be of people who never used this site and never agreed to anything.

The files are in storage we control, so we are able to open them. We don't read through albums, and the only time anyone here opens one is to act on a request about a specific picture.

Taking a photograph down

The host can remove any picture from their own album whenever they like, and it stops being shown immediately. The file itself is erased when the album is, or sooner if you ask us. That is the fastest route by a long way, so if you know the host, ask them first.

You can also ask us, and you do not have to be the host or the person who took it. If you're in a picture somebody else uploaded, that's reason enough. Email hello@inviteables.com.

We will need enough information to find it. An album can hold hundreds of pictures, and we can't search them by what they show.

Every photograph carries a number, shown in the corner of it in the host's album. The album link and that number are all we need, and the host can read both off their screen — another reason to start with them. Failing that: the host's name or email address, roughly when the photograph was taken, and what it is of. If you can only give us some of that, write anyway and we'll work out the rest with you.

IP addresses

We use these briefly to rate-limit requests so the site can't be flooded. They are held in memory and never written to the database.

Where it is

Everything is stored in the United States, whoever and wherever you are. Photographs are held in a private bucket that nothing outside this site can read; the site is served over HTTPS; we hold no passwords, because there are none. If we ever find that your information has been exposed, we will tell the account holder by email without delay, and the authorities where the law requires it.

Who else sees any of this

That is the whole list. The typefaces are served from this domain, so opening an invitation contacts nobody but us.

How long we keep things

What “deleted” means, exactly

Two things carry on past the dates above, and it would be misleading to leave them out.

If you ask us to delete something, both of these still apply, and we will say so rather than claim the deletion is instant.

Getting a copy, or getting it deleted

Email hello@inviteables.com and we'll do it. You don't need to cite a regulation or give a reason.

We do have to be sure the request is yours. Send it from the email address on the account, or, if there's no account, send us the host link — that link is the only thing that identifies an invitation as yours, and we can't hand someone's guest list to whoever asks for it. For a single photograph in an album, use the section above: it says what we need to find it.

We answer within thirty days, and usually much sooner. We never charge for this and never treat you differently for asking.

If you are outside the United States

Your information comes to the United States to be stored and handled here. If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Union or somewhere with similar rules: we handle a host's account and event to provide what they bought; we handle guest replies and photographs because the host needs them to run their event and we need them to run the site, which is our legitimate interest and theirs. The host decides who is invited and what the guest list is for; we hold it for them. You have the right to see, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your information and to object to our use of it, all by the route above, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority if you think we've got it wrong.

If you live in California: we do not sell or share personal information and have never done so, and the rights above are the ones the California law gives you, on the same terms.

Children

We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Children do appear in photographs taken at parties, and a guest of any age may be invited to an event and reply to one. A parent or guardian can have a photograph of their child removed by asking, using the section above to point us at it. Anyone can report abuse to abuse@inviteables.com, and those reports are given priority.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
